FAQ

(Frequently asked questions)

  1. What are the system requirements?

OSX 11.0 (Big Sur) and up is required.
For best experience, we recommend OSX 12.0 (Monterey) and higher.

  2. Why does SwitchCenter need access to Privacy features?

    • Accessibility
    • This is required to manage OSX windows (focus on window, close window, etc.).

    • Screen Recording
    • This is required to display windows thumbnails. Switch Center will never capture screen images for anything other than to display the content to the user.

  3. SwitchCenter doesn't appear in Privacy settings

If SwitchCenter doesn't appear in System Preferences -> Security & Privacy -> Privacy -> Accessibility or Screen Recording list, then you can add it manually to the list by pressing the "+" button at the bottom of the list or by dragging SwitchCenter app over the list.

Also, make sure you've installed your application somewhere on the disk (e.g. dragged SwitchCenter app over the Applications center)

  4. Why are OSX Spaces not supported?

OSX doesn't offer public APIs to manage OSX spaces. Using the private Spaces APIs brought upon a brittle and unstable implementation of SwitchCenter. For that reason, we've decided to not rely on the private Spaces APIs and remove the functionality altogether. We're still working on a solution, but we won't deliver anything until we have something that we consider great.

We're aiming to provide top quality features in an excellent condition that would make us proud.

  5. Is SwitchCenter collecting any kind of data?

Switch center is not collecting any kind of usage information or data.

  6. How can I contact you?

You can send an email to [email protected] or [email protected]. We're looking forward to hearing from you!
